Key Difference
Power Apps is the flagship product of Microsoft’s Power Platform. Like most corporate suites, it becomes the default choice when you’re committed to the Microsoft ecosystem. In contrast, Nocoly HAP is an independent No Code platform focused on application building and integration.
Power Apps offers both canvas and model-driven approaches to cater to different types of applications. While the canvas model provides more flexibility in controlling the user interface, it poses significant challenges for business users to implement functionality and achieve high user experience standards. In essence, there’s a dilemma: the canvas model is flexible but difficult, whereas the model-driven approach is simpler but lacks versatility.
Nocoly HAP, on the other hand, uses a model-driven approach exclusively but goes deeper with highly granular configuration options. Nocoly removes the need for coding when building basic app functionality and consistently offers intuitive visual dialogs. This balance allows users to focus on data models and business logic, resulting in a significantly faster app development process that meets out-of-the-box quality standards.
Power Apps is only available through a Microsoft 365 cloud subscription, while Nocoly offers a server edition, enabling customers to manage apps and data on any cloud.
Another difference is that Nocoly HAP integrates application platform, data storage, automation, and integration into a single product, whereas Power Apps relies on additional modules from the Power Platform to offer a complete solution.

About Nocoly HAP Comparison
Creating competitor comparison documents is challenging for any brand, and we face similar pressure.
Feature-by-feature checklists are often ineffective, as most mature products offer comparable features. However, it’s the granularity and depth of these features that truly differentiate them. Diving into such details, though, risks turning the comparison into a technical paper, which still may not tell the full story. Ultimately, the best way to help users decide is through hands-on experience.
While platforms like Gartner, G2, or Capterra provide lists of options and customer reviews, we feel it’s not a fair playing field for Nocoly HAP as a newly launched product.
We also recognize that comparison charts created by any vendor will never be fully objective. Vendors naturally highlight their strengths and downplay their weaknesses. While understandable, this doesn’t help buyers make informed decisions.
That’s why we’re taking a different approach with this document. We’re starting with a high-level overview of the positioning and key characteristics of various products, presenting a basic fact sheet. We’ll then open the document to future customers, particularly those switching from other products, to add their comments and notes. Their insights will reveal the core differences between their previous solutions and Nocoly HAP.
We believe this approach will make the comparison chart more informative and as objective as possible.
